 तोरण मारना 

"तोरण मारना" भारतीय विवाह की एक प्राचीन और शुभ रस्म है। इसमें दूल्हा विवाह स्थल के मुख्य द्वार पर बंधे तोरण को घोड़ी पर बैठकर नीम या चाँदी की छड़ी अथवा तलवार से स्पर्श करता है।

लोकमान्यताओं के अनुसार यह विजय, बाधाओं पर अधिकार और नए जीवन में प्रवेश का प्रतीक है। तोरण पर भगवान गणेश का चित्र होने से यह रस्म विघ्नहर्ता श्री गणेश का स्मरण कर विवाह के मंगलमय आरंभ का संदेश भी देती है।

सार संदेश: "तोरण मारना केवल एक विवाह रस्म नहीं, बल्कि भगवान गणेश की कृपा का आह्वान करते हुए नए जीवन, नई जिम्मेदारियों और शुभ आरंभ का सांस्कृतिक एवं आध्यात्मिक प्रतीक है।"

What is Toran Marna? 

"Toran Marna " is an old and important Indian wedding tradition. In this ritual, the groom, while sitting on a horse, gently touches the decorated toran (a decorative hanging placed at the main entrance) with a neem stick, a silver stick, or a sword.

In ancient times, it was seen as a symbol of victory and overcoming obstacles. Today, it represents a happy beginning, accepting new responsibilities, and starting married life with good wishes.

The toran often has an image of Lord Ganesha, who is believed to remove obstacles. Therefore, this ritual is also a way of seeking His blessings before beginning a new journey in life.
